Terry Jones Rogers, Scott Nienhaus and Karen Crawford are 3 very talented singer-songwriter instrumentalists, who have long and varied careers each in their own right, thankfully leading to their paths converging!!
Terry Jones Rogers and Scott Nienhaus began their long association in 1993, after they both relocated to Nashville,TN. where they were introduced by their mutual friend Supe Granda, a founding member of The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, and soon afterwards, Rogers invited Nienhaus to join the newly formed group, The Byrds Celebration, after the passing of original Byrds member Michael Clarke. In early 1994, Rogers and Nienhaus, along with former Byrds members Skip Battin and Gene Parsons, embarked on their first of many tours of Europe, as The Byrds Celebration. In 1995 Rogers and Nienhaus recorded and released a CD of original material titled 'Empty Room', along with Skip Battin and studio pro Vince Barranco, who had replaced Parsons, after he left to pursue his new association with Fender guitars, with his Parsons/White Stringbender Guitars. Karen Crawford, a very talented singer-songwriter from Tyler,TX , relocated to St. Louis in October of 2001, where she soon began performing with an up-and-coming pianist named Michael Perrine, in a duo called 'Preferred'. She then met Scott Nienhaus, and sang with him at the request of mutual friends, which soon led to the pair performing as a duo, and then a trio with the addition of Pat Liston of Mama's Pride fame, who had enlisted Nienhaus to lend his multi-talents to his solo project, "Blue Mist", released in 2003. Soon after, Rogers began traveling to St. Louis on a regular basis, performing with Scott and Karen, and eventually moving to the area. Liston, Nienhaus & Crawford, as well as Rogers, Nienhaus & Crawford have garnished rave reviews ever since, sometimes performing and recording together for various events, including an appearance on the St. Louis show "The Set" filmed and recorded at the Hard Rock Cafe. With the release of his second solo CD on December 6, 2008, Pat Liston has embarked on a solo career, with well wishes from RNC. Also, RNC recently recorded the Timothy B. Schmit song 'Keep On Trying', that is included on a just released Poco tribute CD, 'Down to the Wire' as well as having numerous projects and performances with special guests, such as Rusty Young of Poco, Supe Granda of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Michael Curtis of The Byrds and Crazy Horse, and many more!
